Are you going to open a beauty and hair salon that will provide such popular procedures as a keratin hair treatment and botox treatment? Congrats! Then you have to consider your hours of operation, as 8-5 working hours simply don’t work in the beauty business!
The most important element to be considered is your clients. Remember that lunch hours (12 pm - 2 pm) and evening hours (5 pm - 8 pm) are the busiest hours! Some people may have a majestic hair botox procedure instead of having lunch, for example. In the evening businesswomen usually have several hours that they can dedicate to themselves, so that’s why you should be ready for pm hours to be super busy.
In big cities, most beauty salons work from 9 am to 9 pm. A workday consisting of 13 hours of work is really busy, so your staff should be working by shifts, for example from 9 am to 5 pm or from 12 pm to 9 pm. It’s will help your stylists to be super productive and prevent them from professional burnout.
On Sunday your salon may have a shortened workday, for example, from 10 am to 6 pm. However, don’t forget that operating hours will be solely your choice. Consider who your clients will be, what are their busiest hours and when they will likely have a few hours for a hair botox treatment, for example.
