Clarifying shampoo before keratin treatment, how is it work

The shampoo market abounds with plenty of choices. Whatever your problem is – to add more volume, remove frizz, hydrate, straighten or smooth – you can find a hair care product that does just that.

However, one question that remains unanswered deals with a clarifying shampoo. What is it, exactly? What properties does it carry? Can it help us make our hair stronger and healthier? And how exactly do you use it?

Well, a clarifying shampoo is a more robust version of a regular shampoo. “Clarifying” is nothing other than a marketing language which is supposed to boost sales. What “clarifying” means is actually “deep cleansing” which is something all shampoos do pretty well. However, if you are frequently using styling products, you indeed might need something more robust to remove all that stuff from your hair.

Even if you are not very keen to use styling products every now and then, a clarifying shampoo can be a good fit from time to time. Hair stylists recommend frequent use of a clarifying shampoo regardless of the hair type.

For those of you that use lots of dry shampoo or are subject to the influence of chlorine, you can use a clarifying treatment once a week. If your hair is very dry or colored, once a month will be a perfect match. Hair stylists warn that too much clarifying treatment is harmful as it can strip your hair of natural oils and moisture so one has to be careful here.
