Keratin Hair Straightening: What, When, And How

1. Wash your hair properly using a clarifying shampoo. It will help to open the cuticles. Rinse and dry your hair. Brush and part it into the following sections: left, right and back. Avoid using a conditioner as it may have an impact on the procedure effectiveness. The clarifying shampoo improves the process. After using it you will see that it is difficult to comb your hair, but don’t worry, it’s normal.

2. The second step requires wearing gloves. You should start with the beck section. Apply the product from below, approximately 1 cm from the hair root. Put the mixture evenly to the ends of your hair using a fine comp and make sure that your hair is equally covered with the solution but at the same time, it shouldn’t be oversaturated (if it is, comb the extra solution out of the hair). Wait for half an hour and comb your hair.

3. Blow dry your hair covered with the product until it’s completely dry. Then you may need a round brush or a flat iron as it’s much easier to deal with straight hair. Start styling at 210-230°C to make your hair straight together with a heat-resistance comb. If your hair is damaged and brittle lower the temperature. Start at the nape by moving the iron gently from the skin to the ends of the hair. Make sure the tips became sleek and straight. Iron the same part a few times until you see no fumes. As a rule, it takes 7-12 times depending upon the hair type. You can damage your hair by burning it, so do not overdo.

4. Follow the instruction of the product in order to learn when you can wash your hair and what type of shampoo you should use. After the treatment, your hair should be straight and smooth. Sometimes people say it became dry or oily. Everything depends on the hair type and condition as well as the type of the used product.
