Folk hair care products: everything you need to know

Long and thick natural hair is the dream of many women. To achieve it, you can use not only expensive products but also quite affordable home care remedies that will make your heat-damaged hair look amazing! Are you interested? Keep on reading!
Home hair care products prepared according to our grandmother’s recipes can not only supplement professional treatments such as keratin hair treatment or botox hair treatment but completely replace them as well (of course, only if you have relatively healthy hair!). Among the benefits of homemade hair products are:
- Availability of ingredients. Most of the ingredients can be found in your refrigerator or at your local pharmacy.
- The ingredients are inexpensive and very economical.
- The ultimate freshness of the product. Masks, shampoos, and balms are not prepared for future use, as they are mixed and made immediately before use.
- Efficiency. After the first procedure, the hair will look neater, it will become shiny, dead hair ends will look much more lively. After 2-3 weeks you’ll notice that your hair becomes much shinier!
Despite the high efficiency, folk hair care products also have some disadvantages. They are not recommended for people with allergies.
For example, folk treatments for hair growth include decoctions and infusions of medicinal herbs, which are widely used in the modern world. You can easily prepare an infusion, just put 2 tablespoons of dry or fresh raw materials into a jar and pour 2 cups of hot water over it. After that, this mixture is infused in a thermos for at least half an hour, then filtered and used to prepare rinses, masks, balms, or lotions.
